About Me
I’m an independent wedding, funeral and naming celebrant based in South West London, where I live with my husband, our two children, and Archie the dog — who, it’s fair to say, considers himself a central member of the family. I regularly work across London, Surrey, Sussex and beyond, creating personal ceremonies that are warm, meaningful and completely bespoke.
I became a celebrant in 2023, though in many ways the role feels like a natural extension of everything I’ve always loved: meeting people, hearing their stories, and finding the best way to tell them. Whether it’s a wedding ceremony full of love and laughter, a funeral honouring a life and the people connected to it, or a naming ceremony celebrating family and new beginnings, I genuinely believe everybody has a story worth sharing.
Before this, I spent many years freelancing in television, moving from company to company and team to team, organising shoots and sending crews all over the world — often in slightly chaotic circumstances. The job took me to places including Argentina, Brazil, Morocco and India, and introduced me to all sorts of brilliant people along the way. It also taught me how to connect quickly, listen properly, stay calm under pressure and — occasionally — solve problems fuelled almost entirely by coffee. All surprisingly useful skills for a celebrant, as it turns out.
Creativity has always been a huge part of my life. Music, storytelling, writing, ideas, conversation — I love all of it. I play the clarinet, have sung in bands and choirs over the years, and continue to enthusiastically attempt new instruments with varying degrees of success. I also volunteer with a local music charity supporting children with additional needs, because I’ve always believed creativity and music can be a powerful form of connection and comfort.
Outside of work, I’m happiest outdoors — walking in the countryside, clearing the cobwebs, being near trees, fresh air and open space. Ideally followed by good food, a pub fire and a glass of something lovely. I love family life, spending time with friends, trying new things, and embracing hobbies I’m not necessarily naturally talented at. Current example: crochet. Current verdict: deeply questionable.
But enough about me.
The reason I became a celebrant is simple really: I wanted to do something meaningful. Something rooted in people, connection and storytelling. I love hearing about the lives people have built, the relationships that shape them, and the moments that matter most. And it’s a genuine privilege to help turn those stories into ceremonies that feel personal, heartfelt and unforgettable.
