A Celebration of Love

Who doesn’t love a wedding and for me as an independent celebrant working in London, Surrey and beyond - the heart of a GOOD wedding is the couple’s story.

What you get with a celebrant led wedding, which sets it apart from a registrar wedding, is that the essence of the couple’s love story - the who, where, when, how and why – can be told in much greater depth and detail, with love, humour and warmth.

Wedding Celebrant

There are usually no time constraints on a celebrant-led wedding (depending on your venue of course) so you can let your imagination go wild and create a ceremony encompassing all of things that are important to you.

A celebrant-led wedding can take place absolutely anywhere – in your back garden, in a favourite restaurant, pub or open space (all with the necessary permissions of course) meaning you can truly tailor-make it.

A celebrant can also lead a ceremony between a couple with mixed-religious beliefs and incorporate elements of those beliefs. Be that in the form of a ritual or religious reading or piece of music. A registry office wedding is not permitted to allow any religious elements.

As your celebrant I will really get to know both of you in the run up to the ceremony. We will have several meetings, either face to face or online, so I can really get a sense of who you are not only as a couple but also as individuals embarking on this union together. I will write the script of your story in an authentic, humorous and meaningful way – ensuring that any significant moments or people are included. You can make it a big all-singing-all-dancing-affair with audience participation – or a

smaller, more intimate ceremony.

You can include children and pets and have readings and music from friends and family.

You could incorporate a ritual such as a hand-fasting or ring-warming, wine or sand ceremony. The scope is endless!

To be married in the eyes of UK law you can book an appointment for a simple registration to make the appropriate legal declarations. This can be done days or even weeks and months before your celebrant-led wedding ceremony and provides you with the necessary legal certificate.

Your day is all about you so why not make sure you are front and centre in a celebrant led wedding.

"We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding celebrant than NicTheCelebrant! From the very beginning, Nic brought the perfect balance of fun and heartfelt meaning to our ceremony. She had everyone laughing (and a few happy tears too!) with her fantastic delivery, and the way she told our story was both entertaining and deeply personal. She was also pivotal in building the structure of our ceremony which allowed us to involve friends and family members to make it even more personal. Nic took the time to meet with us multiple times leading up to the big day, really getting to know us and making sure every detail was spot on. We truly felt so special and seen throughout the whole process. If you’re looking for a celebrant who’s warm, engaging, and absolutely brilliant at what they do, we 100% recommend Nic. She made our ceremony unforgettable!"  Simon Wood
